Richmond to Phoenix, Day 7, Part 2, Shreveport to Dallas

January 3, 2012

CONTINUING ON TOWARDS DALLAS

There wasn't much to see or take pictures of after we left the downtown area, so I just chilled and did nothing (except admire my socks....)

Oh, yeah, you thought I forgot about my socks today, right?  Just because I didn't mention them in part one?  No way.  These socks are worth waiting for!  Trust me!

FLYING J
Our first stop was at a Flying J about 40 minutes away for fuel and hot tea for me---diet Pepsi for the driver.   He did all the driving.  I didn't help at all.  :)  Tsk Tsk Tsk.

Fueling again.  Lots of miles, and it's not like driving a Prius. We don't heat our house in Richmond when we're traveling so it does balance the consumption.

We were delayed there by an old geyser, a very old geyser, as he tried to maneuver his coach. I hope we know when it's time to quit. We see some pretty scary people out there---can't walk, see or drive anymore but still trying. It's very scary sometimes.  Look at Michael below --- he's really paying attention to the guy in that coach!

... People try to help them.

These are my beloved Pink Panther sox, and ideal for a pink day.

This is a Pink Day for sure.

Back on the road again, the last leg to Dallas!
Texas, here we come!
